Wiring Harness Components

Automobile wiring harnesses consists of thousands of components such as: terminals, seals, connectors, fuse boxes, fuses, relay boxes, relays, fixing components, protecting components branch boxes, junction boxes, grommets, and so on. Some of these components are specific and unique for one type of wire harness; and some are general parts.

On the basis of AEA’s development program, fabrication and production of some main wire harness components have been added to our previous products. This represents a significant step in our business expansion plan considering that wiring harness manufacturing is one of our core business activities.

AEA is currently fabricating and manufacturing several kinds of wiring harness components, both such as:    

Some types of: fuse boxes, relay boxes, connectors, seals, protectors, branch boxes, junction boxes, brackets, grommets, & etc.

We are capable of producing any kind of wire harness components based on customers’ requests and orders.

Wiring Harness Components

Fuse Box and Relay Box

Most vehicles are equipped with two fuse and relay boxes. One is located in the engine compartment and is used to protect engine components and switch activate or inactivate some functions such as the cooling system, screen wiper, air condition, horn and the engine control unit. The other box is located in the dashboard unit which is used to protect interior electrical components and switch activate or inactivate body functions such as Lights, Window winder regulator, Multi media , etc.

Connector

An electrical connector is an electromechanical device used to join electrical conductors and create an electrical circuit.

Seal

Automotive connector wire seals are made of flexible and durable rubber material, with good electrical resistance. The main function is to prevent water and dust from entering the connector to keep the electrical connection safe.

Protector

Protectors are made of plastic material, with high mechanical and electrical resistance. The main function is to protect the wiring harness components against neighboring parts and to fix them on the vehicle body.

Branch Box and Junction Box

These parts are made of plastic material, with high electrical and mechanical resistance. The main function is to protect the wiring harness inter-connectors and to fix them on the vehicle body.

Bracket

These parts are made of metal to support and fix some parts such as fuse and relay boxes on the vehicle body.

Grommet

The wiring harness grommet is a tube or ring through which an electrical cable or a connector passes. They are usually made of rubber material and to protect cables and connectors which pass through the firewalls from scratches and prevent the entry of dust, water, and chemicals.
